Lagrange points

If an object found itself in the Earth-Sun Lagrange 1 point and its speed wasn't too fast, it could from Sun orbit get into an Earth orbit.

The Apollo 12 SIVB stage did just that in 2000, went into a 59 day long Earth orbit.....but it remained there a little over a year before the Sun recaptured it.
