Dust storm on Mars intensifying

azstrummer — 7/18/2007 4:27:15 PM (archived)

Latest estimates of the Tau readings from the Opportunity site are in the range of 5.0 - 5.5. Not a whole lot of light getting through to that rover right now and, if this continues too long, it could prove its end. For very continual coverage I recommend frequent visits to Doug Ellison's website. They have a thread dedicated to the dust storm. Fascinating pictures and charts of Tau readings.
