When we pull out of Iraq this will help frustrate Iranian ambitions in the Middle East. And it will be payback for the Iranians arming the Iraqi insurgents. When all the major players realize this game is in no one's best interests, everyone will sit down at a table and work out something more reasonable. Cynical? Absolutely, but this is how the game is played, short of actual war. This is how it has always been played. I just hope this decision has been made because of our national interests, not the interests of our arms industry.
