For the record
IF Petraeus' report is generally positive, and IF I feel it is credible, I might be persuaded to reconsider my position for immediate withdrawal. There, I've stuck my neck out. But I'm still standing by my original criterion: no later than the Presidential election. I never thought September '07 was a realistic deadline, but 2009 is simply too long to wait.
And the burden of proof will be with the General.
