When lightening strikes and thunder peals, people go running for safety (or they should). I saw two extremely violent thunderstorms in Florida that were laying bolts all around me and I was jumping and screaming. The whole air was electrified. Those storms were about 25 years apart.
I have talked to people who have been struck. While working out at the Sebring airport and racetrack, a friend came in after being examined by paramedics. He'd been leaning against a truck in drizzling rain when the bolt hit near him, and travelled to the metal cab. He was totally "wired" and was still having symptoms years after. I recently saw on TV where a nurse has started an organization that helps people with the unusual symptoms they experience that often haunt them years after.
But getting hit twice?? The odds of that are pretty remarkable, but I've heard about it before. Is that LUCK??
Or a different blood chemistry?
I'll bet in the old days, people made legends or gods out of people who were struck. I'd like to interview the guy.
