Politics are so convoluted, so messed up and so out of my realm of understanding that I only know what I specifically can do. That is why I can never go to a Civil War re-enactment. I would never tell anyone they couldn't go. I can't go.

That is why I am a woman without a party. I don't belong to anything. I have often thought I could easily live off the grid.
