We need a universal background check for all private sales. Yes, that's a concession on my part, but one even some gun nuts would support if only the checks were just that, "checks". What has been put in place in my state is registration pure and simple. Buyers and sellers personal info is recorded as well as firearm serial numbers. I still welcome it. I would sooner through a gun into Puget Sound then sell it to someone I don't know.
