It's sad.
No one is proposing anything which would limit your ownership of any rifle, shotgun or handgun in which you have an interest. Repeat, no one is interested in taking away any firearm you own or want to own.
And yet to protect your firearms from non-existent threats you wind up advocating for weapons which have no earthly use besides murder and mayhem.
The sad part is that what you have an interest in is safe. Even so, you wind up overreacting and promoting that which really cannot be rationally defended. You don't have to do either - worry about your firearms or promote weapons which don't have any purpose in a civilian society.
