However, I think a lot of folks out there see the film as too "new-agey".
I see it more like a creative art or drama class.
It gives you different ways to look at things.
Some of it is old hat to me, but a lot of it is "inspirational".
I won't say any of it works, but rather (like a new dish of culinary delight), I am offering it up to all to taste.
Some people forget to dream, or keep their creativity locked down.
I grew up with a mother who told me I couldn't do "that".
Or "this". She had no confidence or faith in herself.
I raised my kids completely different.
I always told them to dream, and even if they took risks, I never told them they COULDN'T do it (for fear of failure). Instead, I was supportive.
What The Secret teaches us is how to dream again and get the most out of our dreams and desires.
So, I am living my life going after everything I desire, and everytime it comes true, I see that as another creative goal accomplished. Some people are afraid to make the first move. They live dull, sheltered existences in unhappy jobs, old hometowns, stulted relationships, etc..
Not me. I have this one life to achieve whatever it is I want, and I am going after it with great passion and belief in myself.

Sounds like a good plan
