Google Earth puzzle - Antarctica

Can anyone identify the peculiar feature at 72d 13m S 60d 11m W? It appears to be a shallow elliptical depression about 5 miles long and 3 across, and it appears to be on the ice shelf, not on shore. The Google people have provided higher resolution imagery there, so they must feel it is of particular interest.
