Buying into the illusion.

The mass media has created the illusion of a war where there is only violence and murder. The war was won when Saddam's regime was toppled.

The US wins every single day we stay and a US friendly government controls the oil fields.

Period.

Today we won.

Yesterday we won.

Last month we won.

That's the reality of the matter, ER. Our objectives are being met - secure and deliver the oil in the region.

If your "ragheads" blow up our convoys and attack innocent civilian centers, they have an objective. It's not all just "hatred of the USA" as folks would like you to believe.

Their objective is the strategic acquisition of Iraq's oil resources. Destabilizing the current elected government, ousting the American muscle that keeps the infrastructure in place and working is their objective. They are not at WAR with the US, they are simply performing a series of attacks that they hope will get the US to leave. They have no army. It's a ragtag bands of mercenaries and ground-level thugs being supplied by those who stand to make billions of dollars when the US leaves.

Spending a million a month on terror is a good investment for some EU companies, that stand to reap billions per year, when their small investment pays off.

The more you know, the more you don't want to know.

I already know more than I am comfortable knowing.

It would be a lot easier and safer to point at Osama or perhaps some illiterate Middle Eastern savage who is brainwashed to blow himself up. The truth is the geopolitical landscape has shifted a hell of a lot since 1989. The world is no longer West versus East. It's a heckuva lot more complicated now as the resource and financial wars heat up. The masses in the west are less educated and more brainwashed.

It's 1913 all over again.
