Cripes, when Iraq's oil was completely sanctioned after the invasion of Kuwait (except for some "oil for food" exports), somehow the world went on with very little trouble. In fact oil prices, as I recall, went down.
To hear some people on both sides talk, you'd think all the oil in the world was under Iraq.
