Investments in companies like Halliburton seem to be of supreme importance to people like you when the person is a Republican. You don't see the double standard?
I long ago decided that the ability to perceive hypocrisy has largely atrophied in a lot of leftists. Probably out of sheer mental self-defense, considering the many mutually-exclusive positions, or maybe just part of a difficulty with abstract concepts.
It's why billionaire leftists can scream about the evil rich and nobody bats an eye, or why environmental activists who fly the world in private jets can tell people to hang their clothes out on a line and people just nod.
It's why Michael Moore can be a millionaire and still represent the "working guy."
