I agree that under the current political environment, Bush is not going to take out Iran's nuclear facilities, and damn sure no Democratic president will.

The Israelis might. If they had not taken out Saddam's nuclear program back in 1981, we would almost certainly have been facing a nuclear-armed Iraq when Saddam invaded Kuwait.
