I know she is afflicted with medical issues which she certainly cannot be blamed for. But so is my own wife.
As far as Hillary's crimes are concerned, I simply don't see them. Honest, I can't see what it is that pisses off the Right so much about Bengazi. This does not mean I think she handled it well, or even that she couldn't have handled it better. But I don't see just what it is she did that was so terribly awfully bad. Or, to put it another way, she didn't make any mistakes that I might not have made if I had been in the same situation. Her private email server is something else, that was at best stupid, at worst, just plain wrong, maybe even criminal (and you'll recall I posted that here right after the news was released). But Bengazi? I honestly don't see any there!, there.
As for hatred, I must admit I do bitterly resent being accused of being a Stalinist(or a statist, whatever the fuck that is) because I'm not in lockstep with certain right wing and libertarian fantasies. I'm sorry if I cannot accept that socialized medicine or commonsense gun control laws will inevitably lead to the Gulags. I also resent being characterized as a fool or a dupe or anybody's useful idiot. I may be wrong, but I'm not stupid. there is a difference.
Conservatives seem to think they are imbued with a civic virtue, moral uprightness and intellectual consistency which Liberals congenitally lack. They are wrong. They are also wrong if they think we're a bunch of wimp pansies that will put up with that kind of contempt in a public forum.
Yes, I do find racism, hatred and Nazism in the conservative ideal. That doesn't mean I think conservatives are necessarily racists, or haters or Nazis, but I have all the evidence I need to see that they do seem to be perfectly willing to ally themselves with people like that in order to acquire political allies. Remember the birthers? Remember the Muslim, Kenyan, Socialist Makaka debates? I only recall one Republican, Sen John McCain, who publicly stood up to that nonsense. I'll always respect him for that. And I'll always hold in contempt those who looked the other way and said nothing, especially if they didn't believe it themselves. Remember Joe Walsh? Not the musician, the
congressman who yelled "Liar" at Obama during the State of the Union speech. Not one of his caucus called him out for that. That was disgraceful--not that some boor insulted the President in public on a ceremonial occasion, but that not one of his colleagues expressed outrage.
As far as you are concerned, you need not apologize for anything. You and I often disagree, but you have never treated me disrespectfully. I have carefully reviewed my response to your comment on my post and I cannot detect anything out of line. I can't recall ever insulting or ridiculing you on this forum. If I have done so to you, inadvertently, in other exchanges, I sincerely apologize, but I honestly do not remember.
I have never addressed T's wife's condition.
