Current Events » in reply to Many evangelical Christians advocating war on Iran right now.

re: right now.

Considering the interview was in spring of 2006, and this person (who I'd never heard of until now) was predicting an Israeli attack by May, I'm not losing any sleep over his predictions.

I got reamed out here a few times for picking some screwball out of the woodwork and going, "Hey! Check out the leftist!" I remember Ward Churchill being such a case. Recently, I found out there's a term for similar things on the internet: "nutpicking."

No doubt I could go to the influential "Nation" magazine and if I looked for a while, find someone who advocated things like nationalizing all the major energy corporations, or unilateral disarmament. So far, we've only "progressed" to the point where major Democratic candidates can talk openly about nationalizing the entire health care industry.

The U.S. isn't going to be attacking Iran (don't know about Israel). Iraq is running out of steam as a "cause" and the Left is trying to generate a new one out of thin air.
