Well, unfortunately, sinces non-Conservativess are neither intelligent nor even people, I'm afraid you're going to have to spell it out for poor old non-Winger me.
1987 is just an obvious round number, two decades ago. Peace Prize recipients prior to 1987 also number many sure to provoke the hatred of the Right. A few notables: The International Labor Organization (1969), Amnesty International (1977), a union organizer (Lech Walesa, 1983), a number of UN organizations and officials(1), the Quakers...the list goes on and on. You might spend some enjoyable time reviewing the bios and discovering a whole bunch of people you can try to tear down.
The very point of the Nobel Peace Prize is to reward people who work for peace. Show me one self-respecting Conservative who doesn't think that peace is for weaklings and Commies. Is it any surprise that Conservatives are noticeably absent from the list of Nobel Peace Prize winners? Is it any surprise that few winners of the Prize will meet with approval from the Right?
So what exactly is the premise of today's Daily Hate? Gosh, why today of all days?
Is it sheer coincidence that today Conservatives are being called upon to despise the Nobel Prize on the morning that we learn that Al Gore won it? Sure, why not tear down the entire Nobel Peace Prize just to fling some [feces] at Al Gore. Extremism in the defense of Wingerism is surely no vice.

Notes
(1) One of the misrepresentations in the blogger's hate list was claiming that the 2005 Prize went to Mohammed El-Baradi, when it went to the UN Atomic Energy Agency; subtle but significant alteration, to personalize the object of the hatred that way.

"Most intelligent people would pick up an obvious recent trend here."
