Try again. They are the most left-leaning politicized science magazine of the lot - and have been for three and a half decades.
As a matter of fact, if SciAm publishes something, you can almost be sure it will be proven false within a decade.
Selling science magazines to more than just scientifically minded folk (i.e non-scientific folk) means pandering to the political elements and so SciAm, more than ever before, is a political rag worthy only to be used to line bird cages.
They are proud card-carrying promoters of the liberal agenda and their rag is laced with leftwing propaganda.
Much like the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, which had their atomic doomsday clock pointed at 4 minutes till during the Ike administration and then moved it to 12 minutes till after Kennedy was elected.
Watching the clock move based solely on leftist gasbrain politics helped clear away any illusions about editorial agendas.
But that's just my view.
