Space/Science » in reply to NASA TO mend Torn Solar Panels on Saturday

I hope he doesn't get electrocuted.

Half an Ampere of current at 110 Volts could
kill you.
The spacewalking astronaut will be
near solar panels putting out as much as 90 Amperes of current.
Not a pleasant prospect to die by electrocution in space with
no one to give you CPR while you are in your suit.

Why couldn't NASA design a spacesuit with fine wire mesh
inserted into the fabric to act as a Faraday Cage?
