re: I didn't say one damn thing about liberals.

You don't have to mention the word liberal to sneak in a hidden slam at the liberals. And you seem to do it on just about every other post, so often, in fact, that you apparently don't even realize you're doing it. But you don't let anyone else get away with it, either. When you're around it's like having the nuns looking over your shoulder with the dreaded knuckle ruler.

"And weirdly enough, after the previous spills, all life in the Bay did not become extinct." (Zinger at environmentalists)
"The bizarre need to find a scapegoat for every bad thing that happens nowadays is driving the investigation now." (Usual slam at liberal lawyers making life miserable for honest businessmen.)

"A certain segment of our society has spent a couple of decades trying to convince us that there is nothing worth going to war for." (Another "non-specific" putdown for you-know-who.)

And of course, I forget to mention that Eastwood and Stewart are Republicans (which I happen to know, I don't hold it against them, I like them anyway) and you can't wait to remind us. TB, can't you see how annoying this is? Not to mention hostile. That's what I'm talking about when I say "political posts". You don't have to make a post overtly political, but all your snowballs seem to have rocks in them. Global warming, Iraq, national health insurance, the MSM, a little worm in every apple. Everybody drops a wisecrack every now and then, but they seem to come constantly from you. I know others have pointed this out to you, but I guess you've dismissed them as mere ideological slanders, but I can see their point, this is infuriating no matter where it comes from, L or R. Normally I would let it slide but I feel compelled to say something or risk coming across as guilty of trying to get away with something and getting caught by the eagle eye of the righteous right. It's not just this post, once or twice is no big deal, it's a pattern I noticed as soon as I started posting here.

Why do you think some other posters get so furious, do you really think it's your politics they're angry about? No it's your tactics. I'm sorry for the confrontational tone of this post, believe me it's embarassing and awkward for me to bring this sort of thing up, and I know I put up with it from some of your colleagues on the R, and a few on my side, too. But from them it doesn't matter as much. But if I remain silent it's like I'm backing down, and I am a southern, Latin male, right? Well, don't worry, I'm not reaching for the duelling pieces, but I feel I must do something.

I just think you have more to contribute than those other clowns, and I must confess I've modified some of my views due to your influence and logic. It's worth taking the risk of alienating you publicly like this because I value your point of view and I profit from it. But sometimes it really makes me feel like I'm being scolded, and I find that personally disturbing, infuriating, and impossible to ignore.
