Your comments on reality are true, of course (that sounds a bit odd).
But the concept of searching for truth implies that somewhere out there is a truth to search for. As Jacob Bronowski pointed out, it's important to realize that there is never any guarantee that you've actually arrived at the final destination, but that doesn't mean the destination doesn't exist.
