As the margin of difference between the haves and the haves nots increases in this country, we may be in for a revolution here. I don't know what form it will take but there's only so much people will endure before they rise up and take what they need to live, over the dead bodies of the haves if need be. If it happens (and I am not advocating it), it will be long after I'm dust in the wind. Things run in cycles and the old saying about those who pay no heed to history are bound to repeat it, is still true.

I listened to a segment on NPR a day or two ago on the subject of that separation between the haves and have nots. It's not just happening to the white segment of society; among the blacks there is resentment because those who have garnered the fruits of success have 'forgotten' their own people who haven't.

How we're evolving in this country is an interesting sociological study. If you flash forward several hundred years (assuming humans are still around by then), it has been predicted that the races will be so intermingled that it will no longer be an issue since all will be one amorphous race.
