Assuming the information in this report is correct--and that their shiny new source isn't another "Curveball"--Iran was in fact trying to build atomic bombs up until four years ago. And they're working on enriching uranium in three thousand centrifuges as I write this. I'm not seeing this combination as that encouraging. If they weren't looking for nuclear power plants in 2003, why should I believe that's all they want now?

There are several plausible theories for what's going on. Another possibility is that we're being fed information from Iran designed to cool things off until a much more tractable Democrat is elected in 2008.
