I had to get very creative with my finances as a single mom, so I refinanced the house a couple of times over 15 years and got two home equity loans at the end. I knew I was living on borrowed time and borrowed money, and I learned in the process. I never liked numbers or economics.
Boring, until your life depends on it. I'd hate to be naieve and a tad desperate.
