Now, unless Bush or one of his ilk is President, I suspect the incandescent bulb will be phased out. Much like leaded gasoline. (Remember that?) Much like lighting with kerosene. I suspect that is against most fire department regulations, though they do not carry guns. Certainly for commercial buildings it's forbidden, even if accidentally allowed under the Patriot Act.

All of that has been done because there are people out there who would not act in the greater good unless they were somehow required to. Like yourself. And are pretty paranoid and/or deranged to consider being expected to as an affront to their freedom, dignity, selfishness, and narcissistic need for life unimpeded by consideration for other beings.

And if some deranged, paranoid nut chooses to make their own incandescent bulb, I doubt it will be noticed. Kids will walk on the other side of the street talking about the nut who lives there, won't stop by to sell Girl Scout candy or trick-or-treat on Halloween, and the electric bill will be high enough that the idiot can't buy very much gasoline.

Which is good, because traffic lights at which THEY are expected to stop are also an impediment to their enjoying living in a motorized society.
