If you're going to get the indignant vapors because I nail a hard-left sock-puppet organization like MoveOn.org to the wall, maybe you need a nap.

I call it as I see it. MoveOn's actions over the past few years, never mind the past few months ("General Betray-us") speak for themselves, and donating a few phone cards isn't going to turn that around.

As far as I'm concerned, it's no different than a Klansman donating to put a new roof on a black church that he's spent the last two years trying to burn down.

MoveOn and others can't claim that we live in some weird one-sided universe where you can work as hard as you can to ensure that our side gives up in the middle of a war, but that somehow by doing so you are doing nothing at all to work for the other side's victory. A ten-year-old would know this was crap. This kind of simple logic has to be burned out of the forebrain in college.

Fortunately, when it comes down to it, MoveOn is turning into a pathetic political backwater. The Democratic Party has, for all intents and purposes, followed the flow of recent events. They've...er...moved on. If you look at the website, most of MoveOn's "causes" and information are about things that are months old, and in some cases, not even applicable any more. Here's their "political action" site.

BTW, I get fresh trees. Not much danger of it burning down. It's the people who buy the ones who have been sitting on the lot for weeks nailed to that little "X" of boards that have to look out.
