Not as much as you think
Much of what you're hearing about the economy is hype, or whatever the term would be about enthusiastic doomsaying (my Mom used to call it "crepehanging.")
Again, watch the actual statistics as they arrive, not the predictions. Here's the latest example.
Don't pay that much attention to surveys on how people "feel," or economists who are making guesses on what might happen. Look at what does happen, and what the numbers are.
