When you find yourself in political alignment with Bowser, you know you have joined the ultimate "black & white thinkers club" - where left is good and right is evil.
The conservatives here survive all assaults on their belief system because they are some of the most informed and balanced. We don't have a lot of religious righties, creationists or social conservatives.
By most conservative sites on the web, I would be considered moderate leaning left. Abortion? Death Penalty. Religion? For the "far right" I would be giving all the wrong answers. In that sense, I suspect myself and other conservatives here are the creme de la creme of conservative thought. ;-)
The fiscal conservative/social moderate is the "refined 21st century conservative" and are far more than a match for those "black & white - left/right" thinkers who see in Bush, Cheney et al the manifestation of pure evil or the "neo-conservatives" who see in them salvation.
