In what I read the people who attribute the claim to al-Qaeda did not find it necessary to mention the al-Qaeda source or the context. It's entirely possible the claim was simply made up, or that it was made by someone sitting in a coffee shop hearing of the assassination saying "We got her!" while not knowing how it happened. And it's possible al-Qaeda did it.
However, you are strongly implying that since the Pakistani government alleges al-Qaeda claimed it al-Qaeda must have done it.
Are we to believe that the Pakistani goverment is always to be trusted to divulge the truth? And assuming the Paks happened to have been accurate, are we to believe all al-Qaeda claims? Or do we believe what we would like to believe because it fits our prejudices?
Probably important questions. Probably more important for you to realize than me. I've already formed my opinion based upon my own prejudices and your historical posts.
