Ok, let's start with a premise here first. Of the remaining viable candidates in the Democratic Party, I'd say it's pretty obvious that John Edwards is the most liberal of the bunch. His health care plan is really the only one that leads to a true single-payer universal scheme. He is shouting loudly about taking on the power of big business and corporate lobbyists and probably won the recent debate in NH.
If you read the liberal blogs such as Kos, he's clearly the favorite. Yet there's a huge amount of frustration at the media coverage he's getting. The story is absolutely the race between Obama and Hillary even though Edwards has had amazing results for the amount of money he spent compared to the others.
So here's the question. If the media is so overwhelmingly liberal as the righties claim, why in the world wouldn't they be backing or at least featuring the most liberal candidate? The story is certainly compelling.
