The term "bullying" was not used in any official statement that I have seen, nor was it used in the video story itself... it was used in the text of the link that brings up the video...
The Iranians used the credible threat of hostile action (such as a suicide bombing) to intimidate the american warships... If you punch a guy thats bigger than you because you know he is too restrained to hit you doesn't that count as bullying?
They were trying to provoke a response, It WAS a hostile act, we - for once- exercized good judgement and didn't take the bait... if they HAD rammed a ship and killed americans what would your complaint be then? If we had blown them out of the water what would your complaint be? It seems that in this case we were very restrained in the face of provocation and did the correct thing...
Not sure what your complaint is... You question the veracity of the DoD report, but offer no reasons to believe they are lying... Meanwhile:
The United States has formally complained about the incident. But Iranian officials have dismissed U.S. objections, saying the encounter was normal and the Iranian boats were merely trying to identify the U.S. vessels.
Given that the iranians dont claim that the American video is false, and given that their actions in the video were CLEARLY provocative, and the Iranian claim of "the Iranian boats were merely trying to identify the U.S. vessels" is patently absurd, I see no reason to assume the DoD version of events is apocryphal...
