Tom? Why don't you just congratulate the professionalism of
the US Navy destroyer captain involved who showed admirable restraint
and wisdom; not responding viscerally...not giving a potential adversary
the opportunity to create martyrs to rouse millions of fanatical Shiites
[in Iran and elsewhere] to bloodthirsty fury and murderous hatred against America.
...and preventing tragic loss of life on both sides
from any miscalculation...at least for the time being.

How quickly people forget what happened in 1987-88; A US Navy captain shot down
an Iranian passenger jet by tragic mistake...American passengers onboard that aircraft
that crashed in Lockerbie, Scotland may have been the innocent victims
of an Libyan/Iranian reprisal as a result.

I would rather see a Woodrow Wilson instead of a George W Bush [with his VP Cheney 'advisor'] in the
White House at a time like this.
