you will find linux installations with dual boot capabilities.
I frankly preferred the LiLo booter that would allow me to do so, back in the days.
Now everyone seems to have switched to another booter (the one that Gentoo uses, and which I can't remember the name for).
Is lilo still around? I might have to do some googling tonight ;)
