I am with you on this.
I would like to be able to send my 9 year-old son in a public restroom on his own, but I will not. Between adults having sex and pedophiles lurking around, I go into the restrooms with him to protect him from such things.
Unfortunately, when my wife has him, and I am not around, she does have to send him in public restrooms alone. She does stand out the door and holler at him ever few minutes to make sure he is okay.
It’s sad when you are afraid to let your child go into the restroom by themselves.
