This sounds just like his character in Something's Gotta Give
The one with Diane Keaton. He plays a guy who spent most of
his adult life going through women like potato chips, then he
meets a woman his age and finally realizes he needs to be with
one special person before he gets too old and dies.
I don't wish Nicholson ill, but I no more feel sorry for the
guy than I would Bill Gates if he started whining about how
he wished he could live a simple frugal life in the country.
This culture panders way too much to those who give back
far less than they are given.
