Watched it last night around 2:00 a.m. During the little ice age, around 1400-1600, there were almost no sun spots. During times of intense sun spot activity, the sun is brighter and sends out more warmth. I'll have to look up how our sunspot activity is now. According to the program, it is possible (but not certain by any means) that low sun spot activity could ameliorate global warming. Probably not enough, though. Parts of Alaska that have been covered with PermaFrost are no longer covered with it. As that has melted, sinkholes have appeared. Trapped frozen Bacteria will defrost, start feeding, and burping methane which will add to global warming. As the oceans warm, methane will be released from the depths and also add to global warming.
Basically, we're in deep shit.
