I'll have to look up how our sunspot activity is now. According to the program, it is possible (but not certain by any means) that low sun spot activity could ameliorate global warming.
We are currently in a period of time with little sunspot activity- and in the last few decades we had pretty high sunspot activity:

"Parts of Alaska that have been covered with PermaFrost are no longer covered with it. As that has melted, sinkholes have appeared. Trapped frozen Bacteria will defrost, start feeding, and burping methane which will add to global warming."
I wouldn't doubt that this has occurred in certain parts- but I doubt one could provide evidence of widespread melting of the permafrost in Alaska.
Of course every year one will have widespread regions of frozen ground seasonally melting but even though this frozen ground is in permafrost regions, it has little to do with the melting of permafrost. By which I mean for example, the first foot of the ground can melt seasonally and have several feet of permafrost below this melted surface.
Now, as far as I know, the arctic region over the last few years have been warming [though there is also a cooling period in the Antarctic region]. And as far as I know there hasn't been a increase in global methane in recent years.
"As the oceans warm, methane will be released from the depths and also add to global warming."
I doubt it's a near term threat, but maybe we should mine it soon [within a decade or so] especially in regions where this might be more likely- shallower water with these deposits would also probably be more economically.
