Not really. That implies that the question can't be actually answered, and it was, quite effectively and objectively.

The other is how the accessibility of modern image processing technology makes photographic evidence almost useless (unless you have access to technology and expertise to verify it).

This is true enough, and it's something that has to be dealt with, but in this particular case, we had access to enough similar, non-photoshopped photos to cinch the case.

The "spray" sign is just a small red herring, and doesn't really come in to the main question. I suppose somebody could hunt down the original photo from its source and compare them, but if we showed the sign to be photoshopped into the main photo, all it would prove is that nutball web sites make things up, and I think we knew that to begin with.
