"The reason I can state that the average pressure at sea level was 32in., of mercury is because I read about the experiments in a book that was more than 100 years old, unfortunately that information is no longer available, and that is why you will not believe me"
Of course I won't accept that. No rational person would! Talk to your local US Meteorological Station. I bet you will find one in your area and I beth they will have stored archives somewhere. This is Science, Johannes, the Data is out there. Its your job to go get it!
"The lowest sea level air pressure ever recorded was 870 mb (25.69 in.) in the eye of Typhoon (Tip) over the Pacific Ocean,"
Yeeeess? By definition, the eye of a typhoon is a low pressure zone. Some of the lowest pressure you'll see at sea level/local ground level outside a Tornado. Basic stuff, Johannes.
