Being self-focused tends to limit one's range of pride.

I cut her slack, because she probably didn't have a veteran speechwriter of any merit vet her text. So you're seeing a window into the true woman - self-focused.

Hillary is equally self-focused but she is more experienced at concealing her selfishness.
