It depends on what the change is.

C'mon Lindy, you're old enough now to know all politicians "change" is code word for freebies, handouts and things that appeal to the self-interests of the masses listening.

If she's only proud about America because they are votring for a black politician - that's a dang narrow bit of self-focus. Tom waited patiently for folks to realize it, but everyone is acting (I hope) dense enough to stop gamma radiation.

If she has no scope of what America represents in a world full of dictatorships, religious theocracies and backwards hellholes - she's the byproduct of being taught and raised by others with spoiled self-interest.

If you interpret your nation through one filter - you are far too narrowminded to be of much use to anything other than a special interest group.

Condoleeza is twenty times as smart and has long since outgrown any viewing of the world through a one-track filter.

But she's a conservative so her race and ideas don't count.
