Lindy, I'm certain this woman's story is the kind of thing Hollywood movies are made of but it's still just her story with all the uncertainty that goes along with an unverifiable story out of a human being. In the case of a NDE, you can't even get some grainy photograph to go along with it.
My take on NDE's is this. In some cases, as the brain becomes starved for oxygen, synapsis start going haywire and producing hallucinations in the person. In some cases, the person embellishes the story tremendously because they want their 15 minutes of fame. In other cases, the person was a whole lot less closer to death than they truly believed and it was nothing more than some dream state.
I'm afraid you can post stories of people that have documented their NDE's to your heart's content and they simply will never interest me other than maybe for some study into human behavior under stress. Ultimately all these people share one thing Lindy. They are not technically dead. Near death is a judgment call. Even declaring a person dead is exactly that, a process that only uses clues to signify when enough cell degradation has occurred to give up reasonable hope of revival. What you're talking about involves some soul or religious concept which is unprovable and untestable by scientific standards.
Hell Lindy, I'm having a NDE experience right now if I assume a comet will strike the building in the next few seconds and all I can tell you is the afterlife I'm seeing sure looks a lot like real life.
I respect your beliefs and you are entitled to them completely but if you post articles based on them here they'll be subject to scientific scrutiny.
