Rarified strata of the blogosphere - The Liteside Layer
From what I can see, the blogosphere has a lot in common with modern business, everybody's doing each other's laundry, and selling each other pizza, but no one is actual making anything. These stories get passed around in a self-referential circle jerk, with all those URLs passing themselves off as footnotes and references. One day we're all going to wake up and realize that you can't get a haircut on the internet.
