Create a society of civilized people and guns will not be a problem. The problem is the public schools are churning out hoodlums, our media and entertainment industry encourage and promote the decline.

Take away the guns and the hoodlums and degenerates will find other easy ways to kill - like the cowardly hoodlums in Iraq using explosive devices.

I'm all for strict gun control and licensing. Heck, I would even support a "follow up" check every couple of years to follow where the guns go and that they still remain with the original licensed purchaser.

Unfortunately, the killers will remain. Toughen gun controls, <IB>toughen default gun crime penalties - punish the perps - that's the way to diminish gun crime.
