Besides possessing functioning DNA, another ingredient or attribute of life
is the ability of carbon-based molecules to grow
from the simpler to the complex [against the law of thermodynamics], But!!...
That definition is hardly complete.

Life, with all its ingredients is...as I have stated before....
greater than the sum of its parts.

So to disappoint you I will add I do not know the full
definition of what is live? What is living?
Hardly surprising.
