Shuttlecraft.
Here's an idea. Why not build large SPACEcraft in Earth orbit, have them stay in SPACE, and use them to travel around the solar system! By building such a ship, we could go ANYWHERE in the solar system! Once we get there, we could then use small craft to travel from orbit to the surface. A common shuttlecraft could be built that can land on a wide variety of locations, from Mars and the Moon, to Titan and Europa. But then again, that makes too much sense...forget about it.
