"Researchers say lunar exploration will require new cadre of specialists"

"Wanted: Scientists who shoot for the moon."

Considering the very low gravity on the Moon and the small particulate size of the dust, is it possible that significant activity would create a dust cloud which hamper activities requiring vision? Does it settle rapidly?

And what's to keep that dust from clogging virtually everything? I understand it sticks like grim death to pretty much everything, and since it could float around, especially in an atmosphere such as would be found in residences I would think it could clog filters, gears, and so on.

I'm sure there have been proposals for this, long-term Moon exploration couldn't happen unless there were, but I can't imagine what anything which would work over time might be.
