Then there are those of us who are doomed, doomed I tell you, condemned to dial-up Hades. No DSL, to far from station by wire. No Cable, they won’t provide service out here. No wireless even, they never installed a panel to ‘cast this direction. And, we’re behind a fairly high hill to boot.

Yeah I can get Satellite, at ruinous rates, an arm and a leg to install.

I asked a SW Bell tech when they’d get around to giving us some kind of high-speed service. He looked me right in the eye, and replied without a hint of a smile. “Oh, 2036, if they feel like it.”

And no, I can’t move.

No streaming anything for me, even tunes take so long it isn't worth it, forget video.
