April, 18, 1983. How quickly you Americans forget.

This post is one day late, but regardless.
April, 18th should be a day of mourning in the United States
like September, 11th...There is a common link.

That day of infamy, April,18,1983, left only 64 people dead,
17 of them Americans, all killed by a Shiite suicide bomber
in Beirut, Lebanon, who drove a truck filled with 330 Ibs of explosive
into the US embassy.
It was not the numbers killed, but the method: Suicide attack by
a Muslim religious extremist.
First it was trucks or cars packed with explosives; then boats,
then person with explosive belts, and finally aircraft slamming into buildings
with explosive impact.
The Iranian Shia Ayatollahs, then the Wahabist warriors led by Osama Bin Laden
toke note of America's response to such initial attacks [1983-2000].
There was little American response in those years to such attacks and loss of life,
with the exception of a few cruise missiles, etc.

So I ask you, do you think America will crush the Wahabists and Shiite extremists
within the next 25 years?...There are new extremists being born every day.
