How long until the fault is idenitfied and corrected?

Hi Jim -

It takes a while to do a reliable failure analysis, and there's no point in getting hysterical in the meantime.

I don't know when the next Soyuz to ISS is scheduled, and I don't know if it can be delayed. I also don't know what the fault was, nor how long it will take to correct it. It may simplly be related to the new electronic control systems on Soyuz.

I think that the shuttle will be kept flying until the next US manned flight system is operational, and I think that that is not likely to be the stick and Orion but rather a 3 man capsule for the EELVs and Falcon.

Real space systems are always more difficult then the Mars fantasists imagine.
